Its origin is not very clear, but it is probably a cross between Begonia soli-mutata and Begonia vitifolia , raised by Corwin in the United States in 1979.
Appearance
A thick-stemmed begonia. The stems are thick and woody. The leaves, a lovely fairly light green, often tinged with reddish brown, are puckered and glossy. The white flowers resemble those of Begonia vitifolia.
Culture
It grows very fast in good growing conditions, especially in the first year, when you should not hesitate to repot it. This hybrid is easy to grow with good light and moderate watering. It is worth giving it organic fertiliser in early spring and repotting it into a wide container.
Propagation
By leaf cuttings, which is unusual for a thick-stemmed begonia. Leafy stem cuttings can also be used.
