This hybrid was raised in the United States by the hybridiser Patrick Worley in 1981 by crossing two hybrids: Begonia ‘Lana’ and Begonia ‘Orphée C. Fox’.
Description
A fine, sturdy, strong, upright plant from the cane-like group, with silvery leaves and dark green veins. The undersides of the leaves are deep red. This hybrid produces lovely, fairly large clusters of pink flowers, although it does not always flower reliably.
Culture
Like almost all begonias, it dislikes overwatering, so wait until the substrate has dried out a little before watering. It needs plenty of light to keep its beautiful colours, but no direct sun. It does not like draughts or cold. Do not grow it below 16°C.
Propagation
Stem cuttings are easy, preferably in spring.
