Begonia ‘Concord’

This hybrid was raised by the American Nelson Kusler in 1967.

Appearance

The many small white and pink flowers stand out against this variety’s dark foliage. This hybrid stays low and rounded, but it is also well suited to a hanging basket, where it will spread out attractively.

Culture

Above all, respect its need for light, so that it keeps its compact habit and flowers constantly. However, avoid direct sun, except in the morning from October to April: despite its bronze foliage, it would burn very quickly. It needs plenty of water, depending on the temperature; on the other hand, it is ideal for rather cool places, where it should be kept on the dry side. It always benefits from being put outside in summer. At the end of winter, it is worth pinching out the tips to reshape it.

Propagation

Propagate from stem cuttings in spring.
