But it grew through exchanges with botanical gardens such as Rouen and Caen, then Auteuil, Rochefort and Lyon. By 1999 there were 130 taxa, displayed in a small 80 m\u00b2 greenhouse. In 2008, the move to a new site called \u201cles jardins suspendus\u201d (the hanging gardens) made it possible to enlarge the collection and double the display area.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify\">Set on the heights of Le Havre, the hanging gardens were created on the remains of an old military fort built in 1856.
